Edit: Well, after reading the whole thing, it's quite apparent that the writer has done her homework, but not extensively. It should have been "Eminem is the best selling act of the past decade"; "The Marshall Mathers LP is the fastest selling (solo) album of all time across all genres" & "started winning high-profile competitions" <- not exactly correct...

And: "Hailie's Song, which he wrote shortly after the birth of his daughter"

The only reason I can think of that they'd choose that picture is that it's from 2001 [is it? ] and they were trying to show what he was like ten years ago when he last performed in Australia. It's still weird, though. And if it's not from 01, then I'm just going to assume they were lazy and didn't want to find a recent picture that they could obtain the rights to use on their cover. It's possible that the picture's actually from a cover story they did on Em ten years ago, and they used it now because they own the rights to the photo and Em was too busy to give them a few hours for a photoshooot.
