Being a producer myself, Tags are only good if they compliment the tracks perfectly. Much respect to Em and Royce telling Bangledash to put it back on. That's one of the most humble things IMO. But now I have the biggest disrespect for Beyoncé. It is both the artist and producer who make the track. They both have a right to be known.

Oh, cut the crap. Beyonce didn't steal shit, it's interesting how media always call her out, but then comes person whose work she 'stole' and defend her. Just like Trey Songz came out and defended her, and he said it himself, it's bussiness. Every artist takes songwriting credits when they get the song, but people always shit only on Beyonce. Janet Jackson & Rihanna are doing exactly the aame thing but mo one ever calls them out. Probably because she's the best and no one can even come near her starting from Rihanna who can't sing OR dance and other female artists. And TBH, I didn't lose respect for Bey at all. She has a right to remove the tags if she doesn't want it, and if Bangladesh didn't like it, he could say no.

The way I see it theres is almost never a reason to EVER put a tag on a song as it can only take away from the song, especially if it isnt a rap song. If people want to know the producer they look it up, just like its always been. I find it funny, a producer putting a tag on his beat is essentially bringing down his own work. But who knows, sometimes tags arent intrusive, though I'd prefer the artist just giving a shoutout instead.

I'm not Saying that I have disrespect for her because she took the tags out. It's her comment about how it's more about the artist like I said, a tag needs to be able to compliment the work otherwise it sounds shitty. So, if you want it out that's understandable. But saying its more about the artist than the producer, instead "hey this work is golden, but I don't think your tag really fits in musically. Do you mind if we take it out?", makes her seem very shitty in my eyes.

I'm just basing this off of what Bangledesh said so the experience could have been more positive sounding. But when the guy is having to send artists his work without his name on it because he's not sure how the artist will react, there's a problem.

I wonder if Em ever used tags when sending beats.

I hadn't noticed that Bangladesh's tag in the song A Kiss was even a tag, I just thought it was part of the beat which is totally cool. If a producer can do that I am all for it.

However, someone like Alex Da kid's is really in your face and makes you go "I like this track less because of that tag", that's when I would rather the artist make them remove it.

At the end of the day it is the artists call, Beyonce might have thought it brought the track down, Like Alex Da Kid's tag brings down LTWYL2. If that was the case I commend her for taking it off. It's then up to the producer to realize "Shit, people really hate this, maybe I'll make it better".
