LMFAO!Sorry, typo. I meant "Smaller CROWD then." The Grammys, MTV awards, etc have way smaller audiences than festivals and concerts. I think Australia's concerts are in front of like 50-60k.

That "energy" doesn't matter when you have your hype man saying half your bars on every song. I honestly haven't cared for any of his performances since like 2005.
His breath control is actually really good lol. Look at him performing Renegade on Letterman with Jay-Z in 2010.

The man knows how to put on a show, I agree with whoever said that Proof was a real hype man and Mr. Porter only knows his songs. Mr. Porter hardly done shit, it was Em that was hyping the crowd up not Porter.
EmBase, while typically I agree with you on most of the things you say, I think you're wrong.EminemBase wrote:Em has great breath control.
The huge difference is, in particular with Tech there and what Em usually does is TONE. Eminem often puts emphasis and tone into every other line like you would in a conversation.
He's soft one moment, shouting the next, there's a whole range of expression.
Where as you'll notice, Tech there and often a lot of fast rappers, keep one flat tone and the only thing they're focusing on is the rhythm and words.
Okay, dude... Just no. Over the last 2 days I have seriously tried to appreciate Em's breath control and I just can't. I know you think it's because he's putting different emotions in different lines and shit, but I really think he genuinely has a breath/lung problem. I mean, watch this older performance by him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IyPFMWAzb8EminemBase wrote:^ I didn't say emphasis, I said tone.
Em has a range of tone in his voice like he's conversing.
He'll exclaim a joke or an emotion like he would in real life where as other rappers just 'rap' it thus losing most of the actual expression.
I just watched that video and my opinion remains the same. I didn't say Tech wasn't emphasizing things or missing words. It's perfectly clear and perfectly timed, I'm talking about the range of tone in the expression, it's totally different to what Em does.
And I wasn't the one that said anything was different now. His "Renegade" performance with Jay is an example of how he's not different. Him having Porter there is for support as it's pretty obvious he's been slowly building his self-esteem and confidence back up since returning.
I don't think he has any issues with breath control.

The only time I have seen him do that since his comeback, was the Underground performance at the 2009 Relapse release party or whatever it was.
I don't know if he was a heavy smoker or anything. That's why I'm honestly curious as to why he can't perform like he did previously any more. I get drugs had a large role, but I don't think the drugs he was on, really had much of an effect on his bodily performance in regards to things such as breath control.
