Oh, cut the crap. Beyonce didn't steal shit, it's interesting how media always call her out, but then comes person whose work she 'stole' and defend her. Just like Trey Songz came out and defended her, and he said it himself, it's bussiness. Every artist takes songwriting credits when they get the song, but people always shit only on Beyonce. Janet Jackson & Rihanna are doing exactly the aame thing but mo one ever calls them out. Probably because she's the best and no one can even come near her starting from Rihanna who can't sing OR dance and other female artists. And TBH, I didn't lose respect for Bey at all. She has a right to remove the tags if she doesn't want it, and if Bangladesh didn't like it, he could say no.

Big props to Marshall, humble as always.

I don't recall saying she stole anything. She at times doesn't give credit like a lot of artists. I singled her out because Bangladesh did.

On another note, I would see why Eminem wouldn't have any problem with it because it doesn't in any way take away from what he does. He already gets due respect for his lyrics and production.

The version I have has a tag, at the start some tool goes "Shhhh, Alex Da Kid is coming!".

Oh I think we have ourselves a beyonce stan lol jk, but come on man the reason he even called her out was because she was singled out in the article. They are very few people in the industry that actually give other producers/artists credit for what they do as you have stated since to them that is what gets them far in the game. Beyonce is one of them who has been a repeated offender and has stolen countless ideas from other artists and has showcased them as her own. She even went as far as saying she wrote irreplaceable until neyo called her ass out. Oh and if I were boy, she stole from a 18 year old girl who was struggling to be an artist. But of course you never hear that because she pays them off so well to keep their mouths shut. So beyonce isn't miss perfect although I can understand her not wanting the tag, would seem out of place in her music anyway. Good for Marshall though one of the few artist humble artists left in the industry.

@legendstatus: I'm not a Beyonce stan and of course she's not miss perfect but you should get your facts straight. Like I said, she did not stole shit. She payed those people so she could use their stuff. And Trey Songz said it, if she gets the song she gets the songwriting credits as well, it how it goes. Saying she stole song from that girl is like saying Rihanna stole LTWYL from Skylar Grey. Stealing would be listening, hearing and recording and then representing as your own. That girl was payed & got her money. But obviously, when the record became big she said she regrets giving it away. And as I remember, Skylar once said the same thing about LTWYL. So Beyonce stealing is a complete bullshit. Everyone do what she does and it's normal but for some reason they always call her out.

She did said that artist is more important then producer and she was wrong. But IMO it's bitchy from Bangladesh to calling her out after you just worked with her. If he dissagrees with her (and he obviously does) he shouldn't give her his music or whatever. But money beats anything, I guess.

Read what he said properly baby. He's talking about Bey'ce buying that song and acting as if she wrote the whole thing, which is wrong. She paid after the song was ready for use, she didn't make it.Adding her voice makes it her song for the Album only. So claiming that she wrote the whole thing is morally wrong, isn't it?

That's him talking about it? I'd rather him talk about the actual beat, & the song, then the fucking beat tag of all things. Lame.

Same, I think it's just the leaked one though.

Understandable, in that case I'm going to download the CD version when I get home from work because I seriously hate it that much.

It was released by her Label with Tags, the CDQ doesn't have any tags.

I have to say that I agree with Doris on this one. It's not plagiarism if you receive a demo with a song or a tape with a beat and then use it for your album. As far as I remember Beyonce never claimed to have written If I were a Boy. Also, like Em, Beyoncé is very hands on with her music and very meticulous and a perfectionist, so if a tag doesn't fit in the song she probably asks for it to be removed. I doubt she would say such a thing about it all being about the artist and not the producer.

Artists like Em and Bey are always easy targets of criticism and people just have to keep in mind that things often get blown out of proportions in the media.

On another note, was I the only one getting the impression (from the complex interview with BME and the producers behind the EP) that Bangladesh didn't really care who got his beat. Like he wasn't as excited about Em and Royce like the other producers...or am I remembering wrongly?
(Need to go back and read the article).

I remember getting that impression too. I also remember (I think it was the same interview) him talking about people wondering who the girl on the hook was, and he wouldn't name her - he basically said the hook wasn't about her, her voice was just another sound in the beat. Which makes it twice as shitty if he is trying to slander Beyonce for putting the "artist" above the "producer" or anybody else who wouldn't want his tag in their song. He doesn't seem to have a consistent attitude about who deserves recognition on a song.

Just found out "A Kiss" was recorded on April 8...

This tweet might have been about "The Reunion," considering it was one of the last H:TS cuts recorded... Royce's second verse was weak on that one tbh..
