Take a look at his lyric sheets. He doesn't write his lyrics in linear form, he writes groups of words at a time (rhyming words).

Of fucking course he was intentionally rhyming "that shit" with "gadget." Whether he meant for the "whipped" to go with "dick" is debatable, but I suspect he was aware of it. These were the very next words after "gadget dick."
