Of course, but it's also obvious that the public opinion has played a large role in the directions Em have made musically (these past couple of years). Why do you think there was such a drastic change between the "2008-2009 Eminem", and "2010-2011 Eminem"? The public's dissapointment in 2009 played a major role, one can't deny that.

I wasn't dissapointed, Relapse is fuckin ill, one of the best rap albums i ever heard. Then we have Recovery, completely different sound because of this "public's dissapointment" (i still don't understand this complaining about accent, this accent was great and made the album sound even darker) and... after few listenings i liked Recovery more than previous album. What if i like both albums, is it means that i'm stan? I see that Em's developing his music and raising to higher level (many memorable lines on Recovery, great punchlines, wordplay, themes, well... voice).
I think in this way: these people from "Fansdown" movement hated the accents (i guess), beats on Relapse and of course: "nice album, really, but the worst in Em's carreer". And after the Recovery dropped they complain about "screaming" (what a bunch of idiots) and with new album: "wtf? Rihanna? Pink? Lil Wayne? OMG", suddenly Relapse is a masterpiece for them. And they can't see great advantages of this new album, they only can see list of guests, horrible beats (ah... that great Dr. Dre's beats from Relapse...), screaming, weak punchlines, love themes, LTWYL: "we have Rihanna here and disgusting beat from Alex Da Kid, so of course Em's lines MUST BE wack too, i hate this track man!"...
I know... sorry for my english

But hey, the #FansDown movement wasn't created along with Recovery or Relapse, it was made with Throw It Up, I think they've taken enough time to valuate if the movement's needed or not. Personally, I loved the BET Cypher, but because they can't base Em's future on the latest horrible one track that is Throw It Up, they can't base it on the latest awesome, awesome one verse that is the BET Cypher. It's based on the whole post-Recovery (H:TS, Roman's Revenge, Throw It Up etc) shit. And StudioLeaks members also hated Relapse and Recovery, so I'm guessing the counted them into the mix as well.
