And you are actually right for the most part. there are people that because they have a partner, they stop caring of how they look. I have a couple of friends who has been together for the last 3 years. I think they are at least 10 kg heavier each one. They spend a lot of time watching movies and eating doritos. She even use face mask when he is around.

I like to take care of these things. Maybe because I like to look good first for myself and then for the others, i guess some people only want to look good to seduce someone and when is done ..voila..

I have fried up some bacon, then after cooked the eggs in the grease. It's good. But that's once in a great while. Other than that, that's gross that people would fry food in that stuff.
Olive oil is great for cooking. Or something even healthier, coconut oil.
