We're still in the Champions League though. We might be battling it out for 4th place, but we still beat you.

Oh, and it's a transitional period..

Aye you beat us and you're still 11 points behind.

How are City not in a transitional period, we've gone from shit to good in about 4 years.

You should have spent the 75 million you paid for Torres and Luiz on Aguero and Modric and you wouldn't be where you are, which is miles behind City.

Well if you're now a great team, how can you be going through a transition?

We did offer £40m for Modric, but Tottenham are too keen to hold onto him. He wasn't worth the £40m anyway.

oh,we are back!

can it be that fergie predicts the future and he was sure that his team was gonna be 1st by the end of this year?

lulz! at chelsea though,AVB should quit being a manager and become a dancer,he does more of the latter.

and replace Petr Chech howeever you spell his name,he has the right to fear getting booted to the head, its his fucking job to jump towards the ball headfirst when its in the 6 yard box,he cost you the last 3 draws,a good keeper would have latched on to those balls.

get torres some weed or something, hes in severe need of confidence, some real good crack or something would do,lol @ AVB's subs too.

AVB has been brought into an aging squad and a lot of the players are past their best. Let's not forget he won the treble with Porto in his first season with them. His managerial ability is proven and it's has just started - why would he quit being a manager? Give him time at Chelsea.

Torres was one of the sharpest players on the field for Chelsea. He was constantly chasing down players (something which no one else seemed bothered to do in the first half) and assisted Mata's goal. The technique he showed to bring the ball down onto his chest and get the shot off in the first half was fantastic. He did everything right and was very unlucky not to score.

I won't disagree about AVB's subs though.. I have no idea what he thinks when he makes changes. And Cech is still a great keeper tbh.

Lello wrote:eh... NO we didn't, I don't know if we watched the same games, but the game @the camp nou was all in midfield, no side dominated, and Bosingwa pocketed messi all game long (and he was even playing LB not RB), @the bridge, we dominated all game long, were the better side by far, scored an amazing goal, and should've had 7 penalties (none given thanks to that bald Norwegian fuck) and they got a lucky equalizer at the 93rd minute..... how is that defending with 9 men?

2008-09 Semi Finals: Barcelona 0-0 Chelsea, Chelsea 1-1 Barcelona
2006-07 Group Stages: Chelsea 1-0 Barcelona, Barcelona 2-2 Chelsea
2005-06 Round of 16: Chelsea 1-2 Barcelona, Barcelona 1-1 Chelsea
2004-05 Round of 16: Barcelona 2-1 Chelsea, Chelsea 4-2 Barcelona
1999-00 Quarter Finals: Chelsea 3-1 Barcelona, Barcelona 5-1 Chelsea (and this was before we were bought by Roman Abramovich and we still managed to beat them at home)

this shows how Chelsea never bowed down to Barcelona (Except the return QF or 2000) and I say we can beat them again

Any game prior 2008 is totally irrelevant because Barcelona did a 180 after Guardiola became the head coach. So basically all you got are the '09 semis, in which Chelsea played like pussies, both times.

LOL at "no side dominated" you're so fuckin unobjective its not even funny, barcelona had over 70% of ball possesion and 18 shots against 3. On top of that, chelsea committed over 20 fouls and Ballack should have been sent off by the first half.
About the second leg, "you" scored early in the game (both goals were amazing and both goals were lucky) and then just went onto playing on counterattack. There was not even one evident penalty foul, let alone seven, there were only 3 or 4 doubtful plays that could have gone either way. And I'm not tryin to say chelsea wasnt prejudiced by the referee's desicions.

but anyways, like cityfan said there's no argument really, you can't even beat Fulham or Wigan or Stoke City, you would get destroyed by Barcelona

Did you notice what you said in the first reply, you are basing AVB as a great manager on the fact that he won the treble with porto,he won the portoguese league and cup? well yeah he did,but thats fucking portugal, that aint shit compared to the EPL,face it bro, sacking carlo was a bad idea,Roman cant play like fucking barcelona and Real Madrid, yall was boring as fuck to watch when mou managed you,but yall won everything, stick to what yall know,GREAT counter-attacking football, you did that once this season with valancia, turned out great.

And No,Chech is way over,he cost you the last 3 draws, its his fucking job to jump headfirst into the ball in HIS FUCKING 6 YARD BOX,hes afraid of a boot to the head, its fucking obvious, hes still good with other stuff though,i give you that.

When did i say torres is bad? hes is lacking a huge bowl of confidence though.

Europa League isn't an easy competition to win. Most of the teams in the latter stages are as good as one another. AVB did well.

On a different note, wow.. Bale is fantastic. I do wonder how long he'll be at Spurs though.

Imho Iniesta has been the best midfielder on the planet for the last 2-3 years now. His touch, vision, intelligence and calmness on the ball is breathtaking. Just had to post that somewhere.

Agreed. Really not that consistent as the media make out. His winning of Player of the Year last season was a farce. Parker is also insanely overrated. Both are still great players though.
