Tranquil - Zone Out

Postby Tranquil » Jan 21st, '12, 15:09

Heard this beat (Lord Knows - Drake) and I just zoned out and wrote this quick 16. Nothing spectacular, just thought I would drop something since I haven't dropped anything in a little bit :worship: Enjoy :y:

your flow seems to be there and you lyrics sounded nice, your quality really let you down, its either your mic or your mixing, invest in a decent set up or look at some mixing tutorial for not so great set ups and you should hear a massive improvement. your voice sounded really held back and you couldn't get yourself across 100% because of the quality.

Wasn't feeling this in comparison to most of your other work. I've heard your vocals mixed much better before, so definitely work on a more consistent mixing technique. Even if it's just a quick 16, make sure it is mixed properly. Beat drowned out your vocals so if you turned your vocals up a few decibels it would have been much easier to understand (a lot of it I couldn't understand while listening, had to pause to get the things you say properly). You've done a lot better with your flow before too, some of it sounded sloppy and I know you can do better. Nothing spectacular, as you said, keep recording brawski.

nice lil freestyle, but like everyone said, we gotta work on that mixing man, the EQ you are doing is not really good, you are rolling off all the lows, thats not so good.

I also didnt liked the beat too much, but thats just opinion.

definitively keep recording man, cuz I have heard many great verses from you, so touch up :b:

i liked your flow, it was real good on this one, some of the lyrics didn't really stand out, while others did so it was a good mix. good overall rhyme scheme too.

mind quickly returning the favor? viewtopic.php?f=38&t=142814

thanks

Your flow :worship: Your lyrics were great too, rhymes were really smooth, I enjoyed it.
Like I'm one to talk, I can't mix vocals for shit, but it did sound a bit muffled or something, but I could understand you well though. :y:

Good quick 16.

You really lack a good mic or something because other than that, it was really cool. You got a cool voice and the delivery/flow are there. Like it has been said, you just need a better quality.

Vocals volume should be louder though, download cool edit pro man and start fucking with the mixing and it'll be really better.

Keep dropping. :y:
