Why do a lotta even though it's a minority of Em fans

Complain/dislike him collabing with Artists like Rihanna yet when Jay Z, Nas, 2pac, Styles P, Young Jeezy basically every type of Rapper collabs with if not neccesarily Rihanna other RnB Singers like her why do Em fans wanna box him in so much?

I would rather Eminem did his own Hooks always like he does mostly anyway simply cos he 1 of the best Hook Performers/Writers ever IMO but have no issue with him collabing with Rihanna.

He used to bash pop singers...but a lot of fans tend to also forget that Rihanna being on that song was for a specific reason.

I bet if Skylar Grey sung the hook that LTWYL would have been better received by fans. It would most likely be hailed as one of the best songs on Recovery, in fact. I guess you're right in that Slim Shady fans wouldn't like this type of track to begin with, but I'm sure they'd hate it much less had someone else sung the hook...

Like I said though, she was on there for a very good and understandable reason. I wouldn't mind if they collaborated again as long as the song is good. I'm not particularly into deep Eminem myself...I tend to lean a little bit more towards his non serious songs, though I definitely like his serious material. But LTWYL is a great song and I'm not gonna hate on it because of Rihanna.

Completely 100% agree with this post...although, I'm still a Slim Shady fan. Just also an Eminem/Marshall Mathers fan as well.

TES is my favorite Eminem album though...it's not TOO serious, it's mixed with funny songs and classic serious songs so that's why it would be my favorite. I also like Recovery for the same reason...it has a very healthy mix of serious and "funny" or non-serious tracks. It's kinda weird, I'm bipolar about Em music sometimes lol.

Also Rihanna is not a Pop Singer she is an RnB Singer a commercial 1 yes but her genre and the type of Singing she does is RnB and Eminem has never ever dissed or had any problem with RnB Singers so it's not like he collabed with an actual Pop Artist like Britney Spears.

But fans are always going to be divided when it comes to The Slim Shady Alias vs the Deep/Introspective Eminem where as the majority are fans of the Deep Eminem/Marshall Mathers the minority that like Slim Shady it is still a big minority cos both have such huge fan bases.

Not ALWAYS. It's very possible to like both. I like both. I just lean a little bit more towards Shady lol.

What do you all consider what Em has been doing since Recovery? Do you think it's Slim Shady when he's talking about hurling burgers at bitches and slapping hoes around?

The Eminem Show only had 2 funny/shock/Slim Shady Alias Songs on it Without Me and My Dads Gone Crazy every other Song on there was Deep/Emotional/Personal. Every Song on Recovery aside from WTP was Deep/Introspective.

That is definitely not true about Recovery. Cold Wind Blows, On Fire, Won't Back Down, W.T.P., Seduction, No Love, Cinderella Man, So Bad, Almost Famous, and Untitled are not deep songs.

And I didn't say anything about Slim Shady on TES. TES is basically split up between deep/serious and non-deep/serious tracks. Slim Shady doesn't automatically equal funny. Slim Shady is a character, a persona.

Yes i think Slim Shady Alias/Alter Ego fans are those that don't like traditional Hip Hop like something againist what the fundementals are just listen to it cos they find it funny, they tend to listen to know else but Slim Shady.

Where as The Eminem/Marshall Mathers fans are traditional Hip Hop fans basically like 2pac who is similar or Nas or Styles P or T.I. who ever else like to relate to the Music, feel an emotional connection etc.

So you're saying you think he was being Slim Shady on songs like Roman's Revenge and Throw It Up? If you are, I'd actually agree.

See i don't like Slaughterhouse cos to me Musically they suck i just never ever could get into Rapping random words and having no Substance, no Song Writting ability. So same way i don't like The Slim Shady Alias but i been an Em fan from 1999 because of Rock Bottom and If I Had from his first Album.

But if Eminem signed Nipsey Hussle for example i would be real happy Nipsey Hussle isn't particularly Deep he a typical West Coast Gangsta Rapper but Musically way better than Slaughterhouse.

No one ever talks about Ridaz, I fucking love that song. Delivery is perfect and lyrics are very descriptive.
