Why Eminem sucks (now).

Straight up; people are praising Em like crazy nowadays, but he honestly doesn't deserve it. After releasing The Eminem Show, we already knew there was a shift in his music. He was so dependent on the Slim Shady character that we ended up losing him after The Marshall Mathers LP. Lets face it, there are no signs of Slim Shady on The Eminem Show. Celebrity bashing on "Without Me" doesn't mean anything, any artist could bash someone else.

Now here's the point: Eminem has only one "classic" album, and that would be, The Marshall Mathers LP. It's just a brutal album; it's perfectly crafted with songs like "Stan" & "The Way I Am", not to mention the horrifying honesty from "Kim". After that, he just went with songs that could be commercially successful. I'm not saying that The Eminem Show is a bad album, it's just not a classic.

Encore, Relapse, Recovery, are just not good albums. From your opinion, you might be thinking Recovery is the best album from him, especially due to his "brutal honesty of admitting he still luvs Kim guise!" Fuck that, Recovery is a half-assed album from a (now) half-assed rapper.

Who cares if Eminem rhymes his ass off on Relapse, every track is the fucking same. It's all about him blabbering on about killing underage girls and Britney Spears. No one cares.

He obviously tried to outmatch The Eminem Show with Recovery, but he should've have spent more time than a year creating the album. Recovery is based on punchlines, except for the ONE song ("Going Through Changes") that revolves around "emotionz".

tl;dr: Eminem sucks nao and will never return despite how "awesum" his BET cypher was.

also.. then you kinda gotta think to yourself "Maybe the album was intended to be about killing pop stars and little girls" if that was what the entire thing was about. doesn't matter if it was the same thing over and over in my opinion, the lyrics are insane - and on top of that they each tell a nice horror story.

I have to disagree with on all your opinion's except Encore. Truth of he mather is he had 3 classics. The Eminem Show & The Marshall Mather's LP being the two best of his collection. The Eminem Show and Marshall Mathers LP are easily the best two rap albums of all time with the Slim Shady LP being top 10 album material.

Motherfuckers always dismiss a serious discussion as "trollingz". Gtfo, this is my honest opinion but the posters here are too lazy to have any signs of intelligence in their posts so instead of replying with an opinion they just write "TROLL".

@Menzo: 3 strict serial killer songs? No. "Stay Wide Awake", "Same Song & Dance", "Buffalo Bill", "3 a.m." and "Music Box".

Recovery is a half-assed album because he's just whining now, and he's not using any creativity. We get it Marshall, you don't have to explain how you feel stronger now since you got off drugs (you were better on them, anyways). "Cinderella Man", "Not Afraid", "Won't Back Down", "Talkin' 2 Myself", "No Love", all share the theme of him becoming a different person, for the better. The rest of the tracks are straight up boring. I'll have to admit, I enjoyed "Love The Way You Lie". "25 To Life" hits you with a not-so-shocking ending, and "Space Bound" is a typical Eminem-style love song. "W.T.P." fails as a club song, with him rapping about "pulling a fifth of bacardi out of [his] underwear", NICE. "Cold Wind Blows" is the only sign of Shady and the only track I really enjoy.

as a stan myself i dont see how recovery is as bad as you make it sound, or relapse as bad as you make it out to be. how is recovery just him whining? and how is relapse (while redundant in voices and somewhat in content) not possibly the best flow/rhyme/lyrical albums ever
