Yeah, he just so happens to say "happened with/rappin with" after "Can-i-bitch"...but never intended for them to rhyme with "Can-i-bitch." All he intended was to rhyme the word with itself, twice.
When saying Can-i-bitch / rappin' with it sounds wrong.
Listen, I'm not gonna argue with you. The way it sounds it doesn't rhyme.
In your opinion. Not in the opinion of anyone who actually matters.
Tell me if this rhymes:
I just got back from Amsterdam,
I heard a bunch of rappers rap,
It doesn't. It's the same thing we're talking about. The a-sound, while technically being the same, sounds different, making it sound forced or not even like a rhyme at all.
This is not a compatible comparison.
"Dam" and "rap" are the last syllables in that attempted rhyme scheme, which is what makes that sound awkward. "Amster" and "rappers" sounds fine, because they both end with the same "er" syllable.
If he'd said something like, "rappers scram" in the second bar, the whole thing would sound fine.
"Standin" and "rappin" have the short-a sound in the first syllable and both end with the identical "in," which is why they sound fine. And then he also has "havin" in the next bar, and ends with "ass, but then"...and you think this is all unintentional?
Since the SFTM case wasn't end-rhymes, it's safe to assume Em wasn't completely "inversing" the whole line and was only doing "corners and porches."
Translation: "Down is up, night is day."
If you honestly believe that, there's no hope for you.
