Do you think there are 25 Rap albums better than Recovery?

If you'd ask Em this question, I'm sure he'd agree that there are - at least - 25 better rap-albums ever recorded.

Which now urges this question to me. How would Eminem answer this question if it was about SSLP, MMLP, or TES?

Think about it right now. His real opinion. What would Eminem say if you asked him if there was 25 Hip-Hop albums better than TES? or MMLP even?

I think he would say yes to SSLP definitely, he's always thought less of that album.

And i fucking love that he does!!! lol yes, he does critically examine his work but i think that he definitely loves MMLP and TES. Some random interview he had the other time had him listing songs he went to listen to that "made him feel a certain way" and they were all from MMLP, TES and 8 mile sound track.


Most artists who are honest with themselves can say that. Tech N9ne, Joe Budden, Kanye West, Jay Z... they seem to be honest and not overly cocky when reviewing their work

Jay described his Renegade verse as a 'bad day in the office' and Joe always brags about how good he is. And Kanye? I don't even have to say anything man!

Yes, Joe Budden IS egotistical but the few interviews i've seen have him rate his music reasonably fair.

Jay- look for that "15 things you ddnt know about Jay Z" thread.

Kanye- Kanye has openely discussed how jay z "murdered his ass" on that Diamond remix, how he thinks Eminem is the "biggest rapper ever" how "if Drake has a bigger year than me, i will accept that" how "Chronic is the standard" for w/e... he really just gives due where credit is due

Recovery lacks replay value, that's the reason for it being forgetten after a while.

To you, maybe. There are MANY Eminem fans out there who most likely still bump Recovery from time to time. Myself included. To say it doesn't have replay value is wrong, when people replay it often. I see people post on here "Listened to Recovery again today, it's great."

Assumptions are bad. Don't ever assume because YOU don't like something that automatically means there's no replay value.

I think you missed it.. The question was about the top 25 albums. Not the top 25 albums with best lyrics. If lyrics are the only thing that makes an album great, then by that theory all a good rapper has to do is recite the best 15 poems ever written over a good beat and that will make it the best album ever.

Maybe that's what makes your top 25 albums, but I'm looking for delivery, beat, then lyrics. I don't want to hear some geek rapping because he's smart at writing. 2pac was one of the best with delivery ever. That is 95% of what being a rapper is. There's a million people out there that can write better than the best rapper. I don't want to hear them rap though..
