Lol, Whitney is only 10... and as far as Hailie, if you think 16-year-old 10th graders are "all grown up" then you probably either haven't interacted with any in a while, or you are one (not literally accusing you of this, no disrespect. But a teenager does NOT approximate an adult). Alaina I'll accept, but there's plenty of parenting left to do as far as Hailie. I would think he'd want (or he SHOULD want) to be an intentional presence in her life in the next couple years before she moves out. Her view of him throughout her adulthood largely depends on how he behaves towards her during her adolescence. Was he there for her, did he listen to her, did he make time for her, did he peel his eyes away from the game to listen to her problems, etc. When you're that age, you want to feel like your parents are available to you, when you need/want them. If he went far away for several months at a time, Hailie might take that sort of personally and think he didn't care enough to be available to her, especially since he doesn't NEED to go on tour-- his career has been established for years, and he has all the money he could want... Plus, he could just keep doing festivals one weekend here and there. If I were 16 and I already didn't see my dad on a daily basis (they live with Kim), I would be quite peeved if he decided to make himself even less available to me by leaving for a long period of time for a reason other than sheer necessity. And I realize that teens avoid their parents like the plague... but there's a difference between a dad bugging his teenage daughter and her being annoyed and wanting him to go away, and him actually not being there. As a teen, you can still feel neglected/let down by your parents and you take that shit hard.

Add to that the fact that he doesn't seem to have a real desire to tour. I don't get the impression that he ever really enjoyed it. He seems like a homebody type, and he probably cares more about not missing his weekends, birthdays, games, vacations, whatever, then he does about pleasing fans in Belgium or wherever else. Just my speculations.

EMINEM is a douchbag when we talk about touring, he could pack stadiums around the globe ...but he just want to do fucking selected shows..,i don't know what is he thinking...because be locked up in a studio isn't that great!, so i hope this white mofucker go on world tour in 2013 or we can make a huge campaign to force him do it,

I remember in a interview (I think it was for Rollin Stone magazine) they asked him how it is his typical day, and he said that he likes to get home early from the studio to see the kids, so I thought they lived with him.

Makes sense, and I was definitely just speculating... Although Em seems to be the type to stretch the truth about these things. Not LIE (at all), but just... when he says "I need to get home to see the kids" he just lets people believe that he's talking about a TYPICAL day, when he may very well just be talking about the days that he DOES see the kids... which may or may not be that frequent.

I didn't mean to be presumptuous, but it just made more sense to me that Kim would be the default caregiver, given that Em's the one with a busy work life (touring or not), whereas I get the impression that Kim is basically a suburban housewife at this point. Her only obligation in life is to her kids, AND primary residency almost always goes to the mother, but if it's more or less 50-50, then so much the better, but I would be shocked, tbh, if Em was the primary parent. Kim seems like she's a pretty devoted mom as of the past several years, and she doesn't seem to be the type to just say, "here, you can have them" which is pretty much what would have to happen for Em to have them more time than her. 50-50's plausible enough though. Just... my 2... or 10 cents, again. haha. Again, this whole thread is complete speculation, none of us literally is sure of what we are saying. lol
