THIS WHOLE THREAD was based on my OPINION alone. I solely believe that Eminem shouldn't make another album until he releases material that shows why he should. Nowhere did I say "OH EMINEM SHOULDN'T MAKE ANOTHER ALBUM CUZ HIS CURRENT MUSIC IS CRAP AND THAT IS FACT!"

And QUIT pulling the "it wasn't his song" card, because he STILL could have made a beautiful verse, he only chose not to because he's a lazy bastard and isn't really taking the art seriously. He should be releasing verses like "Despicable", not "Richard".

And yes, I believe only his good songs are based off his real life. Only the songs that deserve the rich status of platinum, that should be listened by every hip-hop listener known to fucking man. But do you agree? Obviously not!

If only his good songs are based off of real life, do you think SSLP and MMLP are bad albums? Ironically Despicable isn't based on real life at all...I personally am tired of personal tracks. It really depends on the type of person you are I guess. I hate emotional shit, Eminem isn't meant to be an emotional artist...I can tell he's trying to go back to that SSLP/MMLP mindstate like people wanted. People wanted Shady, he's giving them Sahdy and people still complain. Just be glad he isn't shouting average punchlines like he used to...the few punchlines in this song actually aren't embarrassing.

I just know for a fact that if Em were to make a solo album, half of it would be like Richard and half of it would be serious...like Em should. He'd take an album much more seriously than features...despite you saying he isn't trying, it actually sounds to me like he is...just because the content isn't serious doesn't mean he isn't trying...he's trying to appeal to the "Shady fans." I'm not exactly sure if a serious song would even be good right now...it would just sound like Lighters or something.

Blu, as much as I agree with your feelings towards Em currently, and I'm in the exact same boat -- I feel that this quick video may change your views in regards to whether or not he should do another album. This is Ira Glass, the main guy from This American Life (the most popular podcast in the US). The video isn't directed at people in Em's shoes, but I think it applies regardless.
