Lil Wayne is the most overrated IMO. Jay-Z at least makes sense with his songs... some things Wayne says are just like... wtf why??

Yes they do rap about similar topics... however Jay-Z doesn't make each one of those songs punchline after punchlines. Jay actually puts substance into it, imo

The thing with Lil Wayne though, is he is not overrated by 'hip hop heads'. In fact he gets a lot of hate.

Whereas Jay-Z, Pac and Biggie are commonly in Hip Hop lovers top five or even GOAT.

So basically, Wayne gets (underserved) praise from people who generally aren't major Hip Hop fans compared to someone like Jay who gets insanely overrated by people who are (self proclaimed) Hip Hop purists

As for Jay-Z, I can always go back and dust off some of his early material but every single album since The Black Album has been either mediocre or just garbage. Watch the Throne is the worst I have ever heard him spit.

Lil Wayne has put out tons of bad albums and mixtapes while Biggie and Pac always stayed relevant artistically (of course this is a matter of taste). Saying that these three are the most overrated isn't right when two of them actually have good music backing their reputation - at least to some extent.

Weezy is considered the best rapper alive by many. Biggie and Pac are mostly considered legends and you always hear people bringing up other rappers when discussing them because their fanbases are totally different to Wayne's.
