True, but the squad will be overhauled in the summer. However..

It could be worse though. Imagine if we were knocked out in the group stage then fell to Sporting in the Europa League. Now that would be embarrassing.

So, someone made an excellent point.. why are Newcastle being dismissed as possible Champions league contendors... i mean, they are ABOVE Chelsea right now, they have had the more consistent season and their strikers are more lethal (goals wise) in front of goal. They have a stable manager, good additions and many players who'd missed out through injury back in the squad...

That's true. However, I don't think the boys will give up that easy, there's just too much history behind this duel. I literally can't wait.
