It'd be tough, because there is some shit to say about both of them. But I think still, Old Eminem (mainly 1998-2001) would win. They'd both have stuff on each other, so that's kind of equal. New Em is inconsistent, screams too much, collabs with huge pop stars, etc. Old Em had a terrible relationship, was addicted to drugs, failed at suicide, Infinite flopped, etc. But, old Em had so much more wit, that's what makes it a landslide. New Em is still clever, but that man was on another level 10 years ago or so. Plus, he hasn't actually straight up battled in a while.

I know, but I wanna be quoted and agreed with cuz it feeds my internet self esteem.

In that case, you're a horrible person and no longer my favorite member. Geno wins. :tounge2:

If he's creative about it (like the storytelling in Can-I-Bitch, Mariah voice clips in the Warning, the mocking of Everlast's style in I Remember, Hit 'Em Up homage in Quitter), and he doesn't start the beef, I'd love to hear a diss from Em.

But if it's a track with absolutely no creativity that can be summed up in a nutshell as "*insert rapper here* is a homosexual yooo n i fucked his hoe", then hell no. I want Em to be an artist.

Menzo wrote:^ I was gonna say exactly that, current Em would have so much fuckin dirt on 97-03 Em. Probably rip on him for getting cheated on, fucking up his marriage, being absent for his kids touring, a chronic drug abuser, possibly getting shut down by Christina.

Damn...that'd be an awesome battle lmao

You're all wrong. Old Em would mention all of that, just like the Warning (albeit technically being New-Em) embarrasses himself as well as Mariah. He'd then proceed to pick new-Em to pieces.

People sit back and say that Eminem can do this and that now, but where are the tangible examples? Would he wrap old Em in a whopper that he bought from BK? :shakehead:

On The Warning, he sounded like old Eminem...so it's not like he can't do it again. It's just he chooses not to.

If I had to choose, then obviously I'd take Em from 2000-2003 but I'm happy with where Em's at right now. I like the content of Richard, it makes me confident he's starting to not give a fuck again. He's getting more specific. And Hell: The Sequel is actually great, listened to it for the first time in a long time yesterday and it was awesome. His rhyming definitely went up a notch from Recovery, and the production is obviously better. I think he's actually been improving compared to his post-Recovery songs like All She Wrote and Roman's Revenge. Even though I do like those songs but they were major steps down from Recovery. Everything he's done since Hell: The Sequel has been solid.

All She Wrote a step down from Recovery?

Mentioned in the same sentence as Roman's Revenge without a "Is way better than" between them?

We need to set this up. Someone get the hologram machine and take it to Em's front door. Knock on the door, leave, and have the hologram of 2000 Em drop some fresh bars on his ass. Then we'll see what happens.
