I wonder why it's hard to find fans that are older than 20...Now I'll take my abnormal self away.

It's not hard to find fans who are older than 20, don't know what the fuck you guys are on about with that. Most Eminem fans from back in the day were young teenagers and now they are older...suddenly they're not Eminem fans anymore or something?

I'm 22 and I think I'll remain an Eminem fan and still be listening to his music until I'm 30. Maybe even 40, who knows? I know a few 30 year olds (and older) who are big Eminem fans and have been since SSLP...age is NOT a factor in being an Em fan. Dude's been out for more than a decade and of course his fans have grown older.

I do believe, however, that the younger generation are fans for the wrong reasons...like little 13 year old girls who have only heard Love The Way You Lie...fuck those fans.

I`m 27 and I`m a big fan of Eminem. And I don`t see myself not listening to his music in the future.

i dont feel his music ages well at all, and there's lots of hip hop fans who agree with me (not on this forum though)

what i was getting at, songs like without me are childish and to a certain extent corny the older you get. maybe some of you will experience this some day, maybe not. this is just to answer "why would they suddenly stop listening to eminem".. maybe once you are a father or whatever there is certain music in his catalogue you could relate to such as mockingbird, however, that's the exception.

Mockingbird is awful though. It's serious, but that doesn't automatically make it good. Nurse rhymes galore, pill voice, and a crappy attempt at a Hailie's Song Pt. 2. Anyway, my father is 51 and he still loves Eminem songs like "My Name Is" & "The Real Slim Shady", and other aged 20 plus posters like Fleka & Amadeo (although he hasn't posted in this thread) still enjoy those songs.

Exzibit wrote:kids cant even judge what aged well and what didnt if they werent old enough to understand when it came out or was fresh. most kids go "eminem iz teh greateztt!!" its hard to find an eminem fan older than 20.
now stop replying to me and give normal people a chance to post.

Nice idiotic ageist generalizations. Why don't you "mature" and realize that your beliefs aren't more respectable or put on a pedestal because you are older? In fact, making moronic generalizations is a sign of immaturity.

The only smart thing you have said was that Mockingbird sucks. Which it does. Other than that, your views are pretty narrow. Not sure what's weird about 20+ year olds being able to listen to his older albums? Don't you have parents who still listen to shit from when they were teenagers?

Please, enlighten me. Why should I not be able to enjoy SSLP, MMLP, or TES today as much as I did a decade ago? There's no reason.

"ageist" believes are more respectable in terms of how it has aged, if youre 16 and been listening to mmlp for 3 years you have no idea about the replay value of the album, sorry. now, my believes on his skill or whatever aren't any more respectable, i agree with that.

I wasn't talking about replay values at all in my post. Although, admittely, I was being overaggressive.

I got really into Eminem in 2000. I was 16 then. I would eat, sleep...live with MMLP and SSLP. Same thing with TES.
I was 25/26 when Relapse and Recovery dropped. Things did change, I wasn`t hooked to those albums as I was back in the days when I was younger. But I have listend to Relapse and Recovery many times and I will listem to them many times more. Just like I will listen to all of his albums. I will introduce his music to my kids, maybe they`ll like it. Eminem`s music aged well if you ask me, and I still enjoy it the same.
It`s great when you put TES or MMLP or SSLP on after a longer time and blast the shit out of it. Takes you back to your crazy days. And I consider myself lucky being an Eminem fan in that time. Being a hip hop fan in that time.
As a matter of fact, most of the music I listen to is the music from back in the days when I was a kid.
