Troll thread? o.O TES is obviously better. On to the next.
"So one last time, I'm back, 'fore it fades into black and it's all over, behold the final chapter in the saga, trying to recapture that lightning trapped in a bottle twice, the magic that started it all...tragic portrait of an artist tortured....trapped in his own drawings..." - Bruce.

There's not one song on TES that I can skip, and more songs on TES are in my top Eminem songs than songs from Relapse. I feel like Eminem put more effort into TES, and I like the beats on TES more.
Relapse has some great lyricism, flow is fantastic, and beats are pretty good, but I feel like as a whole Eminem tried a lot more on TES and it worked better.

All this is imo of course.

And again, I still love Relapse. I love all of Eminem's albums tbh.

TES, definitely. Relapse had too many filler songs and some flat-out shitty songs (Beautiful, Crack A Bottle) But I voted Relapse anyway. :shifty:

He wasn't using the word, he was talking about the song "Beautiful".

No, not that (although that did irritate me). The politically correct part offends me.

the only thing better on relapse is the overall lyrical content based solely on rhymes themselves. TES is amazing and the best rap album of all time imo, and obviously ems best.

Yeah... although, just to contradict myself for a moment, I think there might be something to be said for judging each album as a collective of tracks, and rating each on cohesiveness and quality...

It still doesn't entirely make sense in some respects as, how can you judge the lyricism of one, based on rhyming or ideas when the intended effect is not the same. I do think perhaps you could still judge the caliber of the rhyming and the tightness of flows and overall effect of songs though...

Maybe. I think I just prefer rating each one separately for what it is though.

Either way, I think The Eminem Show is by far his most consistent, most musically and thematically brilliant album and his best overall work so far. But I LOVE Relapse, and would prefer to listen to the tracks from that more-often now, they're so addictive.
