Where I'm At

Postby Mr Change » May 2nd, '12, 02:30

Is it me, or is this an AWESOME song?
I was just now listening to it for the first time in quite awhile and man, I have to say, THIS is the sort of music i'd love and see reasonable for Eminem to be putting out at this point in his career. It has all sorts of traits of a good song Eminem-wise

-No exaggerated screaming.
-Switch from quiet to loud that everyone on here seems to love.
-Eminem goes first for once.
-Great lyrics. And by that, I mean not only does he rhyme very well, but he does it naturally with hardly any filler or 'out there' lines.
-Verse leads straight into a great Eminem hook.
-Decent beat that Eminem makes complete use out of.
-Very consistent.
-Punchlines aren't that corny, some of the metaphors are very witty.
-Very Emotional. Plus, it feels real and not forced at all.
-Other verse(s) doesn't suck. *Cough* Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki, etc.

And also something else I noticed which I haven't in anything else is there are several different-sounding parts of just one verse, sounds great and keeps it fresh. Point is, I just really think this is prime music that Em can be putting out at this point. I hope there's more of this sound on his next album.

What do you guys think?

I just want him to make some solo songs on his own beats and see how they turn out.

Yeah really. I mean, I love Eminem, and I love what he tried to do. But he CANNOT possibly think that Recovery's production sounded better than what he and Dre could have done. He knows different. :shakehead:

I love this song as well. He has a great verse. Can relate to it tons but it's still got that Eminem attitude to it.

I especially love this part:

And I hope they play this in every club that you go into
I'm haunting you bitch! Everywhere you turn I'm following you
Because I loved you with every ounce of me, you know it's true
It's killing you know, yeah I hope the hoe dies slow in you

I think it is one of his best collabs since his come back. It's actually just a good collaboration all around. I think Lloyd's verse is underrated, he did a good job too.

It's dope... it got a lotta hate back then, esp. here but it's a dope record indeed.
Obie recently said he bodied EM on every song they were together on, which is ridiculous but I gotta say Banks is that dude who really made it hard for EM on the ones they were together on.
They both blacked out doing their verses & murdered this beat indeed.

This is gonna sound kinda retarded but I love when EM goes "Da na na" or w.e at the beginning of the song.

Yeah, Banks's verse was really dope. And it's like that every time they collab, Banks always was better than him.
Don't Push Me, he had a better verse.. You don't know, if he had more bars he would've killed them all lmao.

I like Eminem's verse a lot but Banks's verse was great.
