I don't understand why it's so difficult to get these two on a track together...really, is Paul that much of Jew that he is ignoring Tech N9ne because Tech isn't a major mainstream artist? I bet Eminem himself would love to do it, but I bet "Em's people" brush him off to the side and not say shit to Em.

I'm interested to hear Eminem's opinion on this. Only time I heard him mention Tech N9ne (post hiatus) was the Shade45 Halloween Special when they played their Top 13 Halloween theme (themish, squeamish, regime-ish) songs and he said:

"Tech N9ne is fucking ill. Tech N9ne is fucking crazy." (And he sounded serious at that point.)

So, they seem to respect each other. I wonder what's going to come out of this.

Fact remains though that Eminem has got more to lose than Tech N9ne. None of his fans would accept any less than a perfect, epic verse of Renegade extent and would hate on anything less. He could lose a whole lot of respect and I don't think he's foolish enough not to realize that. Everybody would hesitate if you have little to gain and a whole lot to lose. On the other hand, for Tech this is a win-win situation: If Eminem doesn't collab, everybody will say Em was too scared and Tech is better. If they collab, he'll gain new fans and new respect and a very wide audience.

But wouldn't Paul have stopped the rest of D12 from collabing with Tech back in 2002 then?

He definitely noticed the critics concerning Relapse. And listening to Richard makes me think that he's very well aware of his fans' current complaints.
He made an Illuminati reference in 2.0 Boys and every conspiracy nut completely lost it (look at the stupid Youtube comments).
Personally, I think he knows what's going on quite well.

At the very least, he knows Tech N9ne's music. I'm sure he knows just how much respect the guy gets in mainstream as well as the underground. He won't underestimate the importance of this collab. If he does, his crew won't.
