No he didn't.

"My Name Is" was an accidental hit. Eminem didn't intend for it to be a hit, he jokingly went "Hi, my name is!" when the beat came on, and that became the vibe of the song (jokey / sarcastic)...

Then after that was a success, Jimmy Iovine wanted Em to do another 1st single like it. Which resulted in Em making "The Way I Am" in response / out of anger / pressure.

Then once Em made "The Real Slim Shady" he felt like he knew the formula... then he perfected it with "Without Me" and nose-dived the concept with "Just Lose It". And finalized it with "We Made You". But Dre didn't make him do them. And even if he did, that's not equal to trying to influence the entire undertone of an album and fucking up its outcome.

the first album was made in literally 1 week, and joe budden wasnt good on the album.
the album was random "whatever" tracks.

this one has more time, better production. Joe will be stronger and has topical tracks
with direction.

will easily be better

Em didn't actually make Yelawolf do "Good Girl". That track was already finished and Em said he liked it. Then Yela asked Em to do a skit for it.

Yela explained this in Complex.

Wouldn't that be Yela's fault? He didn't come to Em for advice, only a verse. Whereas SH probably welcomed his help and actually wanted it. I hope Em works more with Yela on his second album. Radioactive could have been great, the first half is class while the second half is lacking. Still a good album but he should've got some Em beats or something. Yela on an Em beat would be awesome, don't understand how this hasn't even happened yet.

Working a lot doesn't mean quality goes down, it depends on the artist really (if you can't make a decent song if you take a shit load of time don't try to work faster, look at Eminem when he came out, it worked). Yelawolf makes it work, he did say he puts his time into every syllable he lays and that he is in the business of making classics, not quantity over quality. Eminem didn't have a chance to work on Yelawolf's project really. And Slaughterhouse will sell more but Yelawolf's second album will sell more than their second.

Then that's pretty good. Props to Yela. :y:

I do respect him for doing most of Radioactive on his own with no help from Em. I just wish he DID work more with Em.

That's what I have been saying. Radioactive is ~120,000 sold. That isn't amazing, but those are solid numbers for his first Shady Records album. He has since gained a pretty heavy following. His second album will almost undoubtedly sell even more.

I think people are use to artists signing to Shady records, releasing their first album, if it doesn't do well, we never hear from them again. The whole point of Shady 2.0 is to do things right this time and build an EMpire.

I really think Slaughterhouse will sell pretty well considering it is 4 individual artists with their own followings combined, plus Em as the producer.
And everything's spinning
