Yeah it's a street single. (Royce said that at the show)
But it's not a BIG single. It's like Just Dont Give a Fuck from SSLP. That was released first and has a video, but anyone would tell you that My Name Is was the first single off that CD.

No I think that "Hammer Dance" is really their 1st proper single.

Royce did an interview not long ago confirming that, and said it was the obvious choice out of all the tracks to them, and commented on the song etc.

I think they just thought they'd be clever by... having a song that would catch on from the sample (a prior hit and catchy as fuck tune) and a little concept. I think they thought people in clubs would dance and sing that hook and not care about the verses....

Essentially so they could have best of both worlds / not sell out and still get a hit.

But it didn't work. So now they will probably push the album back and do a song with Bruno.
