Worst fucking night ever. Done w/ people & their bullshit. Not going to fucking court but my psycho Dad thinks it's ok to put me in the middle of bullshit that involves HIM, NOT ME, keywords. Fuckin done & emotionally drained. Then he has the fucking nerve to get mad at me for stupid bullshit that I should of told him earlier that I didn't wanna go to court for him tomorrow or get in the middle of the shit to begin with. I don't have to, he doesn't need me, I don't see why he thinks he does though. Maybe because he's a fucking retard.

Here's the thing. You have control of the people in your life.

You can put up with it, or you can excuse yourself, say "got to go work on something - talk to you later". Or just walk on and say nothing.

Remember, your parents have issues to - alot of them. Sometimes, when you just don't know what to say to them but they are just so.. ergghhh! Do ... what needs to be done. Step up, and be the parent for just a moment. "Go up to them, and give them a lingering hug - quietly saying, I love you".

Understand, I'm 50 and have 5 daughters. Been through hell and back in my life. As tough as I am, or seem to be - life often just gets so overwhelming I can't deal or don't know how. And just because we are older, well that means nothing. We are just like you but.. yeah - older.

And we often take our frustration out on those we love without meaning to.

But do understand, there is the difference between being there for someone an enabling them. I used to enable my ex way too much. Bailing him out, picking him up from jail, paying his stupid fines and such.

He stepped over the line once and I really did not want to hurt him - but sometimes you have to just do what needs to be done. I revoked his bail and paid for them to come get him. I could no longer take his behavior in MY home.

Talk with - not to. Have a dialogue and not a monologue and if they get loud or irritated - simply quiet - look at your hands (fold them infront of you) and simply wait for their tangent to end.

Learn to not take their anger personal. They have issues they sincerely need to work with and over come. When my daughters get angry and lash out at me, I am mature enough to ignore the acutal words and meaning and understand them as a 'symptom' instead. Something wrong in their life, they can't deal with - and need if anything.... my understanding, support.

But - if they abuse it - I do ignore, and decide to not do them any favors for their disrespect.

I think it's just a thing the bourgeoisie does. Like here in Belgium, there's this annual horse race and all the rich people go to the race to show of their unique/expensive hats. I don't see the appeal either.
