Do you think Eminem will pass 100 million albums sold?

Postby Hopsinshadie » May 18th, '12, 10:11

I just did a wikipedia search at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eminem It says Eminem has sold close to nearly 90 million worldwide. Even if those numbers are not 100 percent accurate, don't you think it's reasonable to say that 100 million seems not too out of reach? If his next album does surprisingly good, I think that he will be right at the 100 million line. Or atleast 95 million.

oh god,this was already discussed
he already sold over 100 million albums :facepalm
wikipedia was never reliable.wikipedia doesn't count 8 mile album, but other sites do.

it was already posted. he has sold over 170 million records.
http://atrl.net/forums/showthread.php?t=206022 a lot of fans counted Eminem's sales and with next two releases he could top 200 million records sold worldwide

source : IFPI,mediatraffic,,other sites for sales
Marshall Mathers - 22 million
Eminem show - 20 million
Recovery - 7 million
Relapse - 6 million
Encore - 13-14 million
SSLP - 12 million
Curtain call the hits - 7 million
8 mile soundtrack album - around 13 million
D12 - 7 million
Singles
42,290,000 million singles in the US alone and 30 million singles worldwide

I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

Lello wrote:D12, 8 Mile and HTS are not credited to him

so basically he has sold: SSLP (10) + MMLP (22) + TES (20) + Encore (11) + Relapse (5.5) + Recovery (7.2) + Curtain Call (7) = 82.5 Million

he has to sell another 16.5 Million to top 100 Million, so basically, he has to drop 2 Recovery-esque albums, which I doubt, but it could happen, but everyone seem to think his next album will be his last (even if he said I'm a rap till I'm fossil fuel)

So I'm gonna go with a NO, but hoping for a YES

lol wikipedia credits HTS and ALL SITES do.D12 is his group and 8 MILE IS HIS ALBUM :facepalm
I'm not going to discuss this again tho.all sites count his group and 8 mile in his overall sales.and why they wouldn't ? In MJ's sales they count jackson 5 sales,in beyonce's sales they count destiny's child sales.I mean :facepalm

Notice, he said albums
A few corrections:
SSLP - around 10 million
MMLP - 22 million
TES - 20 million
Encore - 11 million
Relapse - 5.5 million
Recovery - 7.2 million
8 Mile soundtrack - 9 million
D12 - 7 million
Curtain Call - 7 million
H:TS - probably 1.5 million or a little bit over that

Overall = 90.5 million albums, the correct number would probably be somewhere between 90-94 million albums sold.
Mediatraffic is not a credible source, HITS is also not credible.
Every site has different statistics. But I think soundscan is the most credible source.

countless sites have Encore at 13-14 million, and releapse at 6 million and curtain call at 10 million +
some stans here act like I counted this sales alone, when a LOT of fans,in general rap fans made this estimations  and reliable sites have made this estimations :facepalm

Well it's 100% guaranteed that he will one day surpass 100 million albums. But in terms of future material he releases, it will likely take 2 albums to reach it with the fact that the others will also be selling many thousands a week.

the same stans claim the same shit again.anyway I'm going to believe more to this reliable sites that said that Eminem sold over 100 million albums, then to few Eminem fans who say different :coffee:
anyway he still sold 170 million records (even when some stans here deny that he sold 100 million albums :facepalm2 )
because he sold plenty of single sales

You seem to enjoy using the word stan.

Anywho, i'm sure Encore hasn't sold 13-14 million despite what "people say". Just check Encore sales in the biggest music markets in the world and a more likely estimate would be 11.5m. The US, UK, JAP, GER, FRA etc...

He probably will at least two solo albums from now, assuming the 90-94 million figure is correct. Might get it before that with one new solo and more copies of his old albums.

no if he has 94 million, he only needs one more good album. If his next album only did 4.5 million that would put him at 98-99 million, plus all the additional sales from his other albums will put him at 100 mill
