I for one like the skits. I like how they are interwoven between the songs to somewhat tell a story.

I love the skits, and I hope there are some on the next album, but I wouldn't sacrifice good music just to get a few skits.

He wanted to sound more serious and mature in this album. He feels responsible and now actually gives a fuck.

Because usually he don't put shit on his tapes but his skits and interludes. And he didn't want to instigate anything. :8)

I've never been a fan of skits on rap albums, I'm kinda glad there weren't any on Recovery.

I was never really a big fan of album skits so this doesn't bother me.
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

Yeah, skits are fine on the first listen, but then I just skip them, so I don't really want to hear skits on albums. I'm not a fan of intros/outros either. Just give me 12 good songs and that's it. I don't want to hear 18 songs with 6 being filler.

I've always liked the skits, but I didn't miss them at all.

+1 to the above.

The skits really add something to the album: they show creative thought and highlight that the artist is doing more than filling a CD with music: they're sacrificing one or more tracks to try and tell a story which is really commendable.

Cut 'Talking to Myself' or WBD off Recovery and put in some skits. Even if he just slipped in one, I think one before 'You're Never Over' would work wonders. It could be like the skit before 'My Fault' where there's a group of them singing the hook, or genuinely just fucking around with the song's concept. It would take a lot of the cheesy-ness of that track away IMO.

Album length was 76:55 according to my mp3 playlist. he had roughly 3:45 left assuming it was manufactured on a 80 minute cd. When I burned CD's a long long long time ago there was a 2 second pause mode between tracks option that supposedly takes more disc space but that's just an option usually. Maybe that was the guidelines he was given. If I remember it still only cuts out about minute worth of data. I don't care about the skits either way. I would rather he put some comedy back into the albums though.
