Yeah, like BigBoss said this is gonna be much more accurate and directed towards comic readers, which is one of the reasons I can't wait for it. I didn't even like the previous movies, they were all very subpar for me, and the third was boring as hell. This seems exciting. I at least get to see a new take on Spiderman as a modern live action film, so regardless it's gonna be good to me in that sense.

Well, he have a spider sense thingy, if a normal human tried to use that web shooter, he would smash into a building. And the new Spider-Man still have his powers, (climb walls, spider sense, super strength, reflexes, etc. )

This is EXACTLY like the comics, except for two things: They kinda made a reason that his father wanted to give him powers and that his father used to work at oscorp, who mess with genetics and shit

and there is NO daily bugle or Jonnah Jameson, but photography is still his hobby.

What i like though is that the movie is a hefty 2 hours split an hour for character development and an hour of greatly paced CGI and action sequences

this has 3 weeks or so to shine, then comes Christopher Nolan and adds another classic to his catalogue of classics, everything he touched was a classic,Memento-The Prestige,Dark Knight,Batman Begins-Inception-Insomnia.

anyway, cant wait for these 2 movies.

I didn't say it was the sole reason lol.

Not really 5 years considering to have this film release in 2012 they'd have to begin production, filming, have a script written, and have a cast in 2010.

Going to see it at midnight, I'm incredibly psyched. Spidey's my favorite comic character, and I liked the last 3. The reboot looks promising, I was upset at the fact that they cancelled 4 but oh well. Emma Stone is amazing, so that fixes a lot haha.

For those wondering, they cut the original series due to disagreement between the director and Sony. Sony didn't want the Lizard to be the main villain, and Sam Raimi (the director) did. They had everyone signed on for a fourth and it was in production with a script being revised when Sony pulled the plug and decided to reboot. As for Spidey being in the Avengers, it isn't likely any time soon. Sony owns the Spider-Man rights for 6 films, giving Marvel only partial ownership. They can't use Spider-Man in the Avengers due to licensing problems.

Just returned after watching this. Watching this, you get a flashback of the Org Spiderman, just a exaggeration of certain scene's like when he discovers his powers. The 3D effects are mind blowing. And as the story progresses towards the climax, things get a taste of the unexpected. I never though that SM would reveal himself so early in the movie. The chemistry between the lead pair was corny as fuck, even though Emma Stone could have been given more exposure for her charming looks. They seemed to like each other without any proper circumstances leading to it.

One thing disappointed me was the fact that SM was portrayed way too weak, given the fact that he posses such extra ordinary strength, things seemed unconvincing as compared to the original. Hell, towards the end it's the Lizard who saves SM from falling down.

The movie was high on the emotion quotient, with people showing support to an bullet injured SM. Even PP was shown as an emotional dude, crying and walking away from situations.

Fight sequences were really awesome, especially when the Lizard discovers that SM is indeed Peter Parker and gets to his college to kill him.

Overall, I would say: I enjoyed it more than the other three SM movies. The fight sequences could have been longer or at least more competitive just to make it even more dope. I completely enjoyed the movie, would rate it 7/10.

I hope they make a sequel with either Carnage, Rhino or Mysterio as the villain, that would be dope.

^Didn't read the whole review, didn't want to spoil it if there are any in there haha. But I saw Carnage and had to say something. My respect for you just rose haha, I love Carnage and it seems like he never gets talked about. Even after the symbiote was introduced in SM3 he wasn't gonna be a main villian or a side villain.

I love Carnage because of the fact that he's not separable from his human form, that makes him more vicious than Venom himself. If you have read or know this, Carnage was defeated by SM with the help of Venom. His ruthless portrayal is what attracts me to him.

Yeah man, I've got a lot of the comics from the 90's, I believe Carnage had his own series called 'Maximum Carnage' or something close to that. My hope has gone up for seeing Carnage in a movie now that they're doiing a Venom movie. A good cross-over with the new series of Spider-man films could be in the works.

But, Rhino seems more likely. Don't you think? I would love to see Carnage Next and Mysterio in the concluding part. Mysterio and his illusion's would be a classic.

I was actually telling someone a week or so ago that Mysterio's illusions would make him a top five villain on screen. But yeah, I suspect Rhino will be up soon. I think they'll go the direction of the Video Game for the film and make him genetically modified to look more like a rhino. I'd also like to see Kraven soon. He's a realistic villain that could have a good storyline as a secondary villain.
