Not sure what anyone is expecting on the singles for artists signed to a major label. These guys are mostly complex rappers.. the singles won't be like that. The One from their first album was worse than the singles released on this record so far.

The One was AWESOME, the hook was ill and the beat sounded good, instead of these tinny pop beats.

I highly disagree with that, but I also don't think these singles are very good. Hammer Dance was very good though. Let's not forget about that song.

It was fine, but it doesn't compare to the crzy songs on their 1st album like Lyrical Murderers. THis album is shaping up to be soooo bad, right down to the WOAT album cover.

Lyrical Murderers wasn't a single, though. I don't get how you can say there won't be a song better or close to that level on this album based off of hearing two or three songs (singles) from the album. We have yet to hear some of the key features and production from this album.

That's the thing though, SH doesn't need big radio singles. 13 year old chicks ain't randomly buying their album, it's "true fans". I'm a fan kinda, and would buy it if it was as good as the 1st album. Doesn't look like it.

Slaughterhouse is signed to a major record label. They need radio singles for the same reason Eminem released Crack A Bottle, Love The Way You Lie, Space Bound, etc. It's all about the money. You think they truly care about pleasing their hardcore fans? I feel like the only time Eminem actually did that was on Relapse.

You might be right.. and maybe they'll realize that once this possibly flops. I still would put my money on the album being nothing like this, though. Why Eminem has not been featured on a single to promote them is completely beyond me and insane.

^Of course, singles hardly ever represent the album's actual sound (ex: SSLP and My Name Is). The album's non-single songs could be amazing.

Ya mayne exec producer is a purely financial/management position, it basically means you are the boss of making sure the album is put together. Dre was the exec producer for Recovery and didn't do shit musically.

Also, Eminem's Relapse was not "just for his core fans." It still had the same corny pop culture first single as every album - We Made You - which is probably his worst. It also featured him rapping in an annoying accent, which isn't something his core fans were asking for. I guess Relapse featured him as a more consistent horror core character, but everything he said - Christopher Reeves jokes, murder/rape fantasies - he had done before on previous albums...in my opinion, better. "Stay Wide Awake" is a gem, though. Anyway, Relapse wasn't much of a departure.

I love the accent he used on Relapse.. I was hoping for the darkest album possible and he gave it to me. He was gone for so long and there is no way he thought Relapse was going to be a commercial appeal in the current industry. He made it for his fans. Then he went the opposite direction with the garbage album known as Recovery. But that's a different story for a different day.

It seems like everyone is forgetting that all four of these guys have dabbled in poppy music before. Does no one remember "Pump It Up"? How about those tracks Crooked I did with The Thong Song innovater, Sisqo? Joell has worked with the likes of Akon... and Royce, of course, has featured Bruno Mars. And those are just examples off of the top of my head.

I don't get the people jumping off of the bridge here... and I, in all honesty, am not big on Slaughterhouse. After hearing Recovery and Yelawolf's debut, people should not be surprised about stuff like this from Shady Records. I don't like it because it's Eminem and his label. And I like to still believe that he is above the money chasing. But he has finally succumb. Expect these kind of singles from all of the Shady Records members from here on out.

Eminem doesn't need to put out shit singles to sell. He sells regardless of what he puts out... Not Afraid isnt really a poppy song and it hit #1 at its debut

I'd love to see a D12 x SH massacre track, with Em on it.

New song is pretty bad. I was hoping it would be a track that's got the dark Shady vibe to it yet still be a strip song (like "Same Song & Dance", being something that the girls would dance to and not know what the fuck they're dancing to)....
Always had a feeling that signing to Shady would fuck up the quality of their music, never knew it would be this drastic.

Joell and Crook have good verses, Royce's was disappointing as expected, Joe's verse was meh, beat was disappointing, Porter can do way better...and of course, Swizz dropped a terrible hook.

I knew the beat would suck Mr. Porter sucks at producing beats
