Back in the day on the SSLP I didn't understand why Slim was dissing her, or taking jabs at her, if you will, but I found a couple of things of interest.

1. An old interview (which I don't think I ever heard as well) from back in '99 that he did, & in the interview he states that he would only collaborate with hip hop artists that he knows that he has chemistry with, & the subject of Lauryn Hill came up.

He said "I've heard a lot of stuff about her, & how she is, & how she is towards white people, & I've heard a lot of things that she's racist, & I can't prove it, & there's a lot of controversy surrounding it, but if it's like that, I don't wanna get down like that."
