IDK if this was posted already. Saures Vs Illmac.... SO MANY FUCKING QUOTABLES.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gmSyiYz5To

Also, Fresco vs Soul Khan. Another good battle. SK's punches were pretty funny. Fresco didn't show up for the most part. Except his 'mind bodying soul / yoga' rebuttal.

^^ LOL @ THE GUYS FACE IN THE BACK WHEN THEY INTRODUCE SOUL KHAN. That shit made me spit out my water. fucking pedo smile.

Sauras/Illmac is my favourite battle of all time. I never get bored of it.

"It's 2009 and you still haven't been on an album of mine"

"I'll call Madness fat, Dumbfoundead, I'll use race jokes for him. Then someone mentions that thing above his neck and he's like 'Ho ho ho face jokes again"

"His third round against Storm.... okay, that was you"

Sauras' perfomance is actually great but Illmac just destroyed it. Should never have gone to OT really (but I'm glad it did).

^That is still one of my favourites as well.

^Cruger's perfomance against Illusion here is one my favourite British perfomances. "I should have changed my outfit, came to the battle in a clown's kit... he wouldn't be able to freestyle one line about it"

Yeah man, the Saures Real Deal battle is dope. I've watched it 3 or 4 times. Real got robbed.

Another great battle:

Mac's rebuttals are so sick. Plus this battle was taken on 24 hr notice. Says a lot about both of them.

When I first saw this, I thought it was all premeditated/fixed.

If it wasn't, then it's the best display of freestyling I've ever seen.

It has to be premeditated. Those rebuttals were 6 syllable mutlis continuing for bars on end which were just too crisp.

If not then props to them.

If I remember correctly, Mac was on rapmusic.com talking about how most of their verses were freestyled with some prewritten punches. If you saw either of their scribble performances, or even just some of their older material from the freestyle era, you'd know that it wasn't. Mac has always been heralded as one of the best freestyle battlers in his day. It's almost impossible to prewrite a rebuttal. You have no idea what the other person's gonna say.

^yes I know. I was meaning they both did together. Explaining how both of their entire verses were crisp, dope, multi-syllable rebuttals with virtually uninterrupted flow.

they came with some punches in their head and freestyled the inbetween, and freestyled the set ups.
rebuttals 99% of the time are free yes

HOWEVER its deff not almost impossible to pre-med a rebuttal.

for instance illmac vs bender. he says "i dare you to mention that old spice commercial"
which bender then does... and mac rebutts.

somre rebuttals are vague. like DNA vs Dizaster. DNA of course knew Diz would mention the tooth,
so when he did he said "ive been in 18 battles and he still mention my tooth, blah blah blah gap like white people"

you can think of rebuttals to shit u expect them to say, then just hope they say it and u say it in the next round.

but for the most part they think of the rebuttal the whole rest of the time their waiting for their turn

^^^^ I'm not sure if it's really a rebuttal if it's something as obvious as DNA's tooth, Madness' weight or Saure's face. That's just obvious, ya know?

But when they play off the same rhyme scheme as the opponent, as these two did, then you can tell it's just a dope rebuttal.

The whole 30 second rhyme scheme mac did about saures's face was fucking sick as hell. And he kept the same scheme that saures ended with.

I'm still unconvinced. I know I'm probably grossly underestimating their free-styling skills due to them being some of the best to do it.

Eyedea's "backup dancer" line is up there.

Yeah, scribble had some of the best displays of rebuttals. Someone you might like, Amadeo, is Charron from KOTD. He's known for his rebuttals and somewhat freestyling, but made fun of cuz he's sorta young. The kid's good though.

@RKO I agree with the backup dancer line. Eyedea's freestyles were second-to-none. He had so many really good quotables from his freestyle battles.

Sage Francis also had a TON.

Also, IDK how freestyled Saures' verse was. He was looking @ his phone A LOT during the battle. I think he just didn't memorize what he wrote. Mac is def a better freestyler, imo.

This is the final WD3 line up. What are people's thoughts?

I apologise on behalf of the UK for Chris Leese by the way. He somehow won a tournament in Don't Flop with the prize being a match in Canada. He's a fucking idiot.

@Block - Yeah, Charron gets a lot of unnecessary hate. He's not amazing but he's competent enough. Just has annoying delivery, really.

I'm waiting for the Cruger/Saurus battle to be on Youtube.

Both were great.

I thought this line by Cruger was funny:

"Your album's called "All I Know Is That"/ I don't know the tracks, all I know is that"
