Eminem isn`t and doesn`t try to be a gangsta as "Empty Promises" said. He does toy around with the idea and play with the fact that because he`s around some gangsta`s now that he might be, truth is you never know, is he capable of shootin someone? Wouldn`t put my money against it.

Gangster rap is played out, i don`t know why rappers can`t rap about regular stuff, why is it always alpha male shit, that`s why hip-hop escalated to Gangsta rap. Because the next guy`s always gonna try to be harder than you. It`s easy to play with the gangster thing without being one or pretending to be one, just keep it lyrical, not literal,
for e.g.

"I`m a lyrical killer, rounds of nouns imbedded in my brain, like bullets ready to aim"

It`s o.k doin that stuff, but, once you start sayin you killed people a or you sel drugs, you should be locked up, lol.
