He likes Batman, and most likely heard about it, so I would not be surprised if he referenced this at least once.

AbramIsaac wrote:I really hope he doesn't start attacking celebrities again.

It would be so contrived...it wouldn't make sense. His statements in the past shocked people, but they weren't necessarily said to shock them. The whole concept of randomly bashing people without any real motivation was really only started around Encore, or at least that's when he no longer really needed to separate himself from the pop stars anymore. He was finally considered to be in a league of his own.

Who does he really need to separate himself from now? He's widely accepted and praised in the mainstream, and he consistently sells more than just about anyone else. He isn't struggling for recognition or respect anymore, so the competitive edge of beef with people isn't really necessary.

As far as making fun of tragedies, why? Because he's an asshole? He's also a little too old to be the rebellious jester, fighting everyone for nothing at all. It made sense once, but now it would just be a man trying to regain something he should have already grown out of and moved on from.

What he needs to do is actually say what he thinks and feels. That's what he did before, regardless of how it was perceived. If he's only good as a hip hop troll, then I think we've all been following the wrong guy. Personally, I think he's more than that. I want to hear what he's thinking, not what he's thinking we want to hear.

Well, celebrity bashing, what we call it, is not restricted to Eminem alone, many rappers do that. It's not about bashing stars for the stupid things they do, not anymore. It has become more of an eye opener for those who consider these people as their role model and what not. Take Casey for example, not saying that she's an adored celebrity, but putting her name out in the Cypher was an eye opener to people who didn't know what happened and to convey a message that famous people don't bathe in milk everyday, they have their hands tainted in blood too. So, bashing celebrities in the next in the same context would be acceptable.

Yes! He's a celebrity now, ever since his come back, his appearance says: I'm a celebrity. So separating from that status is not what he aims for. He STILL hates all the excessive attention that comes as free gift with that status.

Fun on tragedies? That's a mode of expressing such topics, don't you think? The message comes across the people in a more subtle manner and not in-the-face-bitch manner. This helps people relate to it even more. We, as fans, say: He doesn't give a fuck. In reality, he does, he's conscious. But, I do agree, he should move on from this type of things.

If you ask me; he has rapped toooo much about himself and his personal life. There's many things left to say apart from this, so, I'm not even worried as far the content of his next Album is concerned.

I think Eminem is stumped and dumbfounded when it comes to creating new and exciting concepts. I think he might be a victim of his witty concepts, because now there is nothing he can do that would shock people.

Budden made fun of it. You think Em's gonna tell him not to say it? I bet he thought it was funny too.

It's not funny that it happened, but the jokes about it can be funny.

Get a sense of humour, this is for the kid's amusement! The kids!

It's not that he's opposed to it, but he does seem to be above it now. Hopefully.

I agree. If he references any events like that, it has to be natural and because he genuinely has something to say. Not a case of him sitting there, forcing a line out about it. I wouldn't enjoy an album of him trying to hard to be something he's not. That's why parts of Relapse didn't work: he was forcing the Shady character too much. Kill You sounds natural and threatening. Stay Wide Awake is a troubled kid, on acid, dreaming up rape stories and forcing rhymes. Yes the rhyming is awesome and flows almost mesmerisingly, but it doesn't seem to be a natural thought process.

I think I agree with everything Abram has said here. Eminem seems to be above poking fun for fun's sake in a large degree. I'd welcome it if he pulled it off, but I didn't enjoy We Made You half as much as any singles before it (Just Lose it is just...)

I don't expect Eminem to do anything political. Despite what Obama has been doing, Em won't touch him.

Relapse was a big, big failed attempt to shock everyone. Though it failed, I still love the album. :y:

Maybe if he went for a commical/serious tone, like say, square dance type of tracks.

Whilst I think bringing this up for controversy's sake is forced (as has been said before) I do think there are elements of this he can comment on:

e.g "a bunch of little kids shot at a rated R movie..." I mean, what was a 3 month kid doing at that film at midnight?! I guess these concepts are similar to Who Knew, but I think if Em is going to comment on anything controversial, it has to be something he genuinely feels strongly about or which is circulated around him.

I think the most shocking thing would be if he started debunking recovery and saying how good relapse is.
"a bunch of little kids shot at a rated R movie? I don't give a fuck, the little shits don't like Relapse do they?"

Batman is PG 13

Problem with shit like this is almost no one gives a fuck what kids do really

Oh! Then he would just call his next Album "Rechard" following Re for Relapse and Recovery. Not even funny, bro. We already have Ken Keniff, wait a minute! He should just use him, again, and bash gays. [Not serious, at all]
