I just saw it too. I hope Eminem doesn't rely on Hailie/Alaina/Nate to know what's going on with the rap world and with what's popular. They love Drake, Wiz Khalifa, YMCMB, that kind of shit.

Em signed Yelawolf though, so he obviously knows what's going on / has someone that scouts talent.

I understand the fear, but... First off, that stuff IS technically what's POPULAR... And he probably wants to appeal to the masses to some extent, and that stuff IS what the masses like. But as far as the deeper "rap world" he's got tons of other people around him (that know what they are talking about) to influence him, too. And, anyone that's ever known or worked with/for him says he's a HUGE hip hop head, so I doubt he's all THAT out-of-touch.

Also, did it ever occur to anyone that there might be a reason (besides that he is an idiot) that Em likes Wayne and Drake and so on? Em has more experience and expertise in rap than we do, so if he says/thinks something is quality... he probably has a point. Now that doesn't mean we take Em's "he's dope... he's dope...he's dope too" compliments all seriously, because I feel like calling people dope is like a tick he has nowadays, but. I think he really does/did like Lil Wayne (for example), and why not? The guy may not be everyone's style, but the idea that he lacks skill is just plain misinformed, imo.
