He could record most of the new album in Aug, Sept, Oct. Easily put a single out in October with the album released in December.

Eminem basically calls both him and Royce Stans.

So, basically the point of this interview was to say the Slaughterhouse album is done and they are handing it over today.

So he's still not in a clear mind state then?

Good, I didn't want him starting writing for his album and then go to Japan and then get back with a new direction/ideas.
I want him to take as much time as he wants, this album must sound perfect.

Absolutely.

It's almost like he got things out of his system (Relapse) and off his chest (Recovery) with his two comeback albums, but both were tarnished (for me at least) in a few ways...

Now that he's huge again and has that awkward 'comeback phase' out of the way, and has fully begun honing his craft again, I really want to see what he can do.

Recovery was like using up the latest 'life fuel' and it was some worthy experimentation, with production, and ideas, and styles.

It was almost like he turned a corner though and hopefully he'll have some more refined and focused ideas now. I don't care if the new album takes two years, he has to knock it out the park. I'd much rather him take a long time crafting a classic than quickly crafting just another good one.

Em: "I haven't really been working on my album, I've been really hands-on with SH album, for the past year, very hands-on and really involved, we're actually handing the album in today." "My album? I don't have a date yet."

Nick: "Why Yela and SH out of all the other artists?" Em: "Me and Royce have been friends for a long time and I've always respected him as an artist, so when he got his group together, you know...I'm very into the technical aspect of lyrics and Yelawolf is a very technical, lyrical artist too, so are SH."

Nick: "Are you constantly looking for new artists to produce?" Em: "Not constantly, but I keep an eye out for artists, new artists, try to keep a pulse on everything."

nick: "Is there an Eminem concert soon?" Em: "You mean here? Um...tomorrow. In front of my house. I'm kidding."

Nick: "The 10th anniversary of 8 Mile is soon, will you be back on the big screen soon?" Em: "No, no plans for that right now, trying to get the label back in a place we want it to be."

Em on SH: "I really feel like hip-hop needs the Slaughterhouse album right now."

Em put Royce on phone, said Royce wanted to say hi. Nick asks if Royce can drive Em down to the studio next time, Royce says Em won't let him drive, says he'll have to knock him unconscious to be able to drive.

Em thanked the fans and radio station for supporting the SH album.

Thanks y'll. He's not yet into his Album, that means more time and effort being put . But it's been a fucking long time for him to find a new inspiration. He did Recovery, few collabs, then the EP, that's it. The EP thing was just made fucking around, he definitely had ideas that he didn't use for the EP. What about them? He's like not producing the whole SH Album, is he? He's not working with Yela either. That's lots of time, LOTS! He definitely had plans on dropping an Album, but seeing the response that he got to his last couple of songs, he's confused and searching for a newer direction maybe. But, it's been an awful long time man, time is the essence.

Claudia, yes, that does mean that they haven't been working on Southpaw, but the movie's only on hold, and once Em isn't swamped with music he could decide he wants to still do the movie. But for now, and probably for the foreseeable future, he's only working on music.
