The cover is an aged version of the angel on the GOOD music logo, the 3D aspect is probably going to make people go out and by the physical copy.. It isn't Kanye randomly trying to be artistic lol.

Doesn't look great though and don't really care about this album if it's going to be filled with Mercy like tracks. Hopefully Big Sean and 2 Chainz aren't on it much lol.

Concept: The cover actually does completely relate to the album. It is based of the GOOD music logo. GOOD music has grown musically as a label and the angel represents that - originally a baby has now grown to be a beautiful sight.

Packaging: The 3-Deminsional aspect of the cover will motivate people to actually go out & buy the album. Rap Up has confirmed also that it will be a tri-fold digipack with possibly the Cruel Summer short film included. So again Kanye is going up and beyond - giving us much more than GOOD music.

So before hating on the cover for another "attempt" of Kanye trying to be artistic and innovative take these points into matter.

The concept relates to the name and concept of the record label, not the album.

I know the album is to showcase talent on the label but, to have a title as thrilling as 'Cruel Summer' and to so badly relate it to imagery... meh. It doesn't fit / work visually for me.

I even think the cover could work well with a different title, but it doesn't work for Cruel Summer. The word "cruel" paired with the word "summer" immediately makes me think of reds and blacks and shades and thrilling dark / angry / atmospheric imagery...

So to have a white, relaxed angel figure, it's just, opposite.

I hardly think it's deep either lmao. Even though you were probably joking.
