I'm also not a fan of how the Internet has brought us closer to the artist, to be honest. I prefer seeing them as an ARTIST and that's it. I don't care what they do between studio sessions, they aren't my friends - and even so, I don't give a fuck what my friends do either - I like them for their music. A lot of the time, social media just exposes how some of these artists are just conceited fuckers...plus the amount of BULLSHIT they talk like 50 and more relevantly, Slaughterhouse.

I kinda agree with you here dude. All these artists starting to use Instagram and Twitter to try and show us their personal lives like any of us really care. We're not here to know what you ate for breakfast, we're here for what projects you have in store. Which is why I respect Eminem so much, he focuses strictly on the music.
