There's really no point in a mixtape at this point tbh... it may reassure some fans to some degree but, it may also confuse dumb fans / some people may think it's the album and having two significant dates right next to each other could be a bad move.

It's their own fault for making such shitty singles, now they're desperate. They had a shitload of time, no excuses, they had time to think. If you haven't got the creativity to make music catchy AND authentic / artistic (Em / Kanye) then maybe you shouldn't be on a major-label.

I don't know how they can show their faces after "Throw It Away".

Anyway, what Ice said about the album is somewhat reassuring but I'm predicting the singles will feel completely out of place then, and stop it being a classic (if it has that potential) at least to me. Imagine Illmatic with even two completely out of place songs... fucks up the whole effect.

It'd be the most hilarious thing ever if the album leaks before the mixtape is released. It'll teach them a lesson not to fuck with the fans/keep them waiting.

yeah it is. They released it today. maybe it can crack the top ten though if everyone starts liking it, but most likely it will just drop after the first day.

It's chaotic what they're doing. It's one thing that a mixtape could do them some good after shitty promotion but it would have had one real function: to win back fans like me who were becoming more and more disappointed after constant push backs and sub-par singles.

I wanted this mixtape to hold me over til the album but now it's not gonna happen. If I could listen to it since last week it would have been great but a leak will most likely happen next week so 4-5 days is no 'holding over'. They proved again that their preferences are above anybody or anything and we should be glad that we even get a mixtape. Some of you said he same.

I'm not glad when artists only see opportunity in me to get rich and get money off me and feel that they can do anything because their stan-fans would buy anything (literally and metaphorically) from them no matter what. They shouldn't do that even if they made all the dates and shit but after all the bullshit and neverending push backs I would have expected some professionalism and empathy from them like not letting their lapdog Ice spamming all over the internet and make fun of fans showing off that he has the mixtape. They should have shut him the fuck up or released the whole thing as a no DJ version immediately and not make us feel let down again.

But no, that's not what happened. So if they flop hard after that, I hope they not dare to put it on fans because they deserve all the shit anyone would throw at them...
