Well they never intended the whole group to be on the same beat. Started out with Royce saying "Joey, I want you on this". They recorded their verses, then Crook heard the beat and did his cyborg thing in the booth, then Joell heard the beat and started writing to it and recorded.

Was never intentional, they just did it.
