Well I think what they were really getting at is that Slaughterhouse is a content based group. They are more about lyrics than beats to a certain degree. While "My Life" has a "pop" vibe to it, the quality lyrics remain. They are actually talking about something and not just using easy filler to be catchy.

Oh yeah and not to mention it probably feels fucking amazing to be signed to a major label with the top selling rap artist ever and the top selling artist of the past decade. No big deal. =p
