Em's Bridge on Our House vs his Hook on Asylum

Postby BlueRag » Aug 23rd, '12, 06:59

2 classic Hooks & Bridge but which is better? i have to go with the sung Bridge on Our House to me that was by far the best part of the song. It shows Eminem at his best from the execution of him harmonizing to the words/lyrics on it are just classic Em. :worship:

Very much disagree the Bridge on Our House was vintage Em.

He was talking about Asylum.

Oh ok nah i just thought it was good but nothing special. But Our House bridge and verse not so much the flow but what he was saying and direction got me really hyped for his next solo album. That bridge was the best thing i heard from Em for a few years.

It reminded me of his bridge on Drop The World just vintage Eminem at his best. I think on his solo there will be very much less sampled popish hooks like on recovery but Em singin all the hooks like he did on the bridge. So Em fans in for a huge treat with the direction, content and these style of hooks and bridges on his next solo. So hyped for the album now.

Our House style verse but with an Eminem Show type Flow and delivery and more personal with a hook same style as his sung bridge on Our House for his new solo album direction and general style :worship: :worship: :worship:

Yeah, but if you're an Eminem fan, you're gonna get all 3 sides to him.

You're gonna get Eminem - Our House, Shady - Asylum and Marshall - Throw That

That's how it is. You might like one over the other, but other people like his other personas / aliases so he's always gonna have all 3.

Do you really think? cos he said in the past after My Name is the label execs made him do those type of formulatic first singls and songs like The Real Slim Shady, With Out Me or they wouldn't release his album if he didn't submit singles and songs like that. Now that has stopped with Not Afraid and he has full creative control i'm not sure you right about that.

Our House. I fucking love. Like at first he's talking soft and it gets more epic as the vocals get stacked. Perfect tbh. Fits the beat well too. But I loved the hook on Asylum and his vocals on Throw That too.

I'm sorry to say but we're gonna be getting more Asylum style songs. Which is what I want. :smoking:

I mean.. I don't see how Em can keep continuing with the personal stuff. He's gonna be rehashing subject matter soon.

I'm not sure man i think 1 direction and a cohessive style will be important to Eminem for his new solo an album where each song leads to another. I mean you always can continue what is a major part of you. It's that old classic saying no idea is original everything has been done before it's just about execution. He been rich what 10-12 years now but those 12 years are so short in comparission to the 25 plus years he was in the gutter so i think he when it's the right time will always let his demons or thoughts out.

Tbh Asylum isn't poppy or goofy or anything, it's a darker Relapse-y type track, and seriously, what more personal shit can he talk about? He's covered everything, soon people will stop caring if he repeats himself too much. He's in a position he's never been in for this next album.[/quote]

Well for what 13 years people haven't stopped caring every album sold. the record sales very consistant. You thinking too short sigted if people will stop caring about the personal/from the heart type music than they will stop caring about his other side and in reality people if anything have expressed that about his goofy side lotta fans complained saying it's played out silly now. As of yet people always supported the personal music. People who listen to it don't think oh this been done before cos as said no idea is original new it's the execution and being able to relate aspect people never get tired of.

It's not about just what you want though cos you are just 1 fan outta what close to a 100 million and others do want that so again just not being realistic if you think others who want it and we talking millions here don't matter but you do over them.
