I mean he didn't just have an album released before that. I've never made an album before, but I would think that takes a lot out of you. And I'm pretty sure he spent more time in the studio for Relapse than for Recovery. But I'm not sure. I'm sure a stan can confirm or deny that.

The writing style and execution is completely different. Sure, he may have stumbled across a jotted lyric and thought, "Hmm...let's re-apply to this" but there's no way he used the same stuff from what would have been 6-10 years earlier.

He spent more time on it than Relapse.... Look how many songs he had for Relapse. Two albums worth. Also, he had all the time from Encore to then for personal material. Like Deja Vu. And dre produced the entire thing, so we could make a more quality record.

Em's confirmed multiple times that the songs on Relapse were made after he sobered up with the exception of Beautiful which he wrote in 2005 whilst he was in rehab.

I'm sure he's heard 'Not Afraid' too! haha I agree, I hate it when people rag anything out without some sort of justification. I have my problems with Recovery but I actually really like most of the album too. To say that Relapse is awesome and Recovery is shit as if its fact and not your opinion is just ignorant.
