Just watched the RapFix interview; and they briefly talked about Em working on a new solo album, and Royce said he isn't sure how the world will react and the way he said it / paused sounded like he had heard something incredible, I'm definitely more excited now.

Possibly, but you really never know with Em.

Because honestly; who in the WORLD predicted he would come back like he did with Relapse after Encore. I don't just mean the sound and style of it (which no one from here to Mars could have predicted, it's in its own world) - but who honestly thought that after peaking on the world stage and going out with "When I'm Gone" that he would come back as an abstract, pill-popping, baby-eating psychopath semi-in-character with the most obsessive rhymes and flows ever.

I know everybody wanted him to come back crazy;

But I don't think many of us thought he really would.

Then, after that - love it or hate it, how could you predict Recovery? and for all its flaws in sound and consistency... if you take like "Cinderella Man" or "Almost Famous", those are some new heights for me, in flow, writing style and lyricism. Some truly amazing moments.

So, I'm not gonna be so quick to write him off or think I can see what's coming next. For some reason I, and I think we all seem to sense or think it's not going to be too much of a change this time; as in, he's going to carry on with Alex beats and pop-rock-rap Recovery-esque style material... but honestly, we never know with him. He could be crafting an atom bomb.

True lmao. But he just said the SH album... he's said he's very happy with it but in so many words has admitted he's tryna go commercial and to just 'buy the fucking album'.

Wrong thread but fuck it since you asked. I'm dissapointed in the album, i'm extremely satisfied with the number of great slaughterhouse songs i've received this past year.

Man I really hope it's like Relapse without the accent. Songs like Insane, Underground (with a concept / direction), Deja Vu and My Mom. The accent was important on songs like Stay Wide Awake and Buffalo Bill, so I don't mind them. They're some of my favourites.

I just hope it's amazing and blows me away.
