Actually the chain thing was even worse in the oldschool. Right now they aint even close to wat it was back in the days. Rappers use to were golden ROPES.

But to be really honest i think u made a wrong comparison to how rap became commercial, indeed it did but it became so lyrics-wize.

Well u seem to share my discust for bluntly comercial and uninteresting rap, but have you ever went to buy the classic albums or made request in the shops for underground albums?

I feel that if we are to complain about stuff like this, we need to change a public statistic, right now obviously people just dont need more than that they are given.

yeah and its making me sad cuz I can run around town and ask the kids and they know 50 and they know all these other commercial rappers but they don't even know wu tang anymore which is one of my favorites and I don't even wanna ask them about the roots, run dmc, public enemy and stuff cuz all they listen to is that commercial bullshit and this shit is pissing me of cuz thats not all about hip hop and today a lot of it sounds the same !! yeah I been in couple stores but its hard to get classic cds in the mall but I've a good friend of mine and he knows where to get stuff , he has dope shit I neva even heard about and he has a lot of vinyls and stuff , so its cool !
