I voted Eminem obviously, but I wouldn't mind if Linkin Park won. When I was in senior school, Eminem, 50 Cent and Linkin Park were easily the most popular artists (with the boys at least), and Numb/Encore especially was popular for years.

@Rise

They all sound the same. Same vocal delivery, same build-up, same chord progression... sometimes I listen to one song and think it's another. Why? Because they sound the same. Why are you even trying to argue this? I'm not saying they're a bad band - I'm only saying they sound the fucking same A LOT. :facepalm

well you clearly haven't even heard their work, listen to A thousand suns, then listen to hybrid theory and tell me if they sound the same, they are the greatest band of all time for a reason, and thats diversity

Greatest band of all-time? Says who?

yeah even better when u change the subject to a question you know cant be answered, why do you think eminem is the greatest rapper of all time? you can tell someone his amazing lyricism, delivery, flow, and if they dont like him they will dismiss it, what proof can I show you ? awards? sales? you will dismiss that and tell me by that logic lil wayne is also a good rapper, now go listen to A thousand suns and Living things and tell me they sound exactly like hybrid theory

It's fucking subjective. Instead you just say "looool" instead of arguing back.

I'm not arguing ALBUMS sound the same, Jesus Christ. I'm arguing that SONGS sound the same. I guess their "big" songs. Like the ones I listed. They sound the same. That's all there is to it.

^ Okay. I'm going to randomly pick a song from A Thousand Suns and listen to it.

edit: "Waiting For The End" is a shit song... damn lol. Yes, it sounds different than the earlier same-sounding tracks, but it sounds like shit. I had to turn it off, that's how bad it was. I'm not doing this just to piss you off either. I really couldn't stand to listen to it anymore.

Better than my Carl Sagan quote? Riiiight, because comparing a music artist and an astronomer will get you anywhere.

Maybe in depth or whatever, but not in rhymes. I mean, Mike Shinoda is a really terrible rhymer. Sure he says some good stuff, but his rhymes are atrocious.

I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.
