the only reason it got really good reviews is because it has alot features and it souns new and different if youre comparing it with relapse, wich alot of people at the time it got released hated.
Recovery is just a great album and it only had 3 features. People loved it and the emotional Eminem is what a lotta people listen to him for so those who loved The Eminem Show. Those who became an Eminem fan after hearing Rock Bottom from The Slim Shady LP simply just love Recovery we can argue all day but the simple fact is some people just like the deepest type of music, they like the emotion Eminem expresses, the meaning in the lyrics, his singing, they can relate yet some who can't relate still love it. It's just a matter of taste Some people like the style of music Eminem, DMX, Cudi, Pac do the emotional and deep thoughts and life based music is what they drawn to. While a few like The Shady style or or Ludacris they find it funny. Recovery got great reviews cos it's just an amazing album siimple as that.
first of all it had like 7 or 8 features but only 4 got mentioned. now, recovery is not a great album. relapse is a great album. tes,sslp, mmlp are classics. i will never say that recovery is a great album beacuse it doesnt have great songs on there. there are like 2 or 3 "great" songs on the album and the rest is average. the production sucks, and THAT is a fact.

the people that listened to SSLP back in the day bought the album because of my name is, dont give a fuck and songs like that. those songs sold the album. I'm not saying rock bottom is a bad song but it doesnt change the fact that people bought the album because of "shady" and not EM.
