What the fuck did you think it was gonna sound like? WBD had a more rap influence to it because it was on Em's album. Em got no business asking Pink to put a hip hop beat just so he can flow better.
In all honesty, this is a good experience for him, i'm very interested to hear how he'll do when he's out of his comfort zone
And the beat could be dumbed down when Em starts his verse for all we know.

People over at the Pink forums love the sound of it, I think that's a good sign.

Em asked Nicki to send him another track for Roman's Revenge because he didn't like the one she sent, so asking an artist for something different is not out of the question for him.

Em raps over a lot of different, non-hip hop beats so that has nothing to do with it either. For some reason I thought "alternative club banger" would be something different, more experimental sounding.

It is a good experience that he tries different stuff. Maybe it's his way of figuring out where he wants and doesn't want to go on his next album.
