Em's not stupid enough to let Khaled on HIS album. Swizz Beatz's beats are actually good if he does it right. And Alex da Kid… well, I can just turn the volume down.

NICE. This is very interesting and satisfying to hear as... he's moving in to new territory, but quality, with an actual decent producer; not just some mirror gangsta 12 year old making FL beats in his bedroom.

I could actually imagine like... like if you hear Em's 2011 cypher verse in your head, that smooth part (tonsils), I could imagine styles and tones like that over No I.D. music... doesn't No I.D. use a lot of piano etc. too? which is perfect for Em I think.

Em usually suits piano or guitars best, basically: a live instrument. But it seems to need to be very harsh or very 'soft' (if you can call a piano that) but with a very definite melody. All these tiny, clashy, uncertain beats from Boi-1da and Just, just, don't do him justice.

I still have a bad feeling I'm gonna hear the horrible brain raping awfulness of Alex Da Kids trash can stomping drums and no melody all-noise 'music' though.

I hope he keeps the shit producers at bay. Too many cooks spoil the broth.

Shit like that is what gets me hyped. Yeah, banging beats are hot, but an album needs memorable, beautifully composed music to it too. Stay is one of the best instrumentals of the year. I can see Eminem rapping about real shit on a similar, probably a little darker, beat.

Yeah that's a lethal mix. I really think they'd all have to be working together and towards a particular sound though (like multiple producers did on The Marshall Mathers LP), or it'll just sound like a mixed bag again. I mean, I know all those guys kinda produce within the same realm in terms of very musical, and potentially dark but... hmmmm

Yeah, I mean, I think it would be best if Em created the skeleton melodies for basically everything (as he comes up with fresh melodies that fit his rap, never been a better method to an Eminem song); then Havoc and No I.D. each take about half each and do their thing with 'em...

Then Em puts his final personal finger prints on the outercore to give the album a coherent 'Em feel' throughout; then get Dre to mix and confirm everything and wa'la.

Man, the way Royce said, "I'm not so sure how the world is going to respond from some of the things that I've heard from him" reminds me of this interview when Dre's like, "we're waitin' for the picket signs and what have you because of some of the things he's sayin'". Obviously I don't expect the same reaction, and the fact that it's Royce saying it kinda alleviates some credibility (it's true) but still.
