Can an imac g3 still be used by todays websites?

So im into buying shit from the 90s, back in 99' the imac g3 was the bomb. i had a green one when i was in jr high. but had to sell it once i moved. Im interested in buying a used one but i cant find any help online as to whether it can keep up with all these html java heavy sites, todays internet....


i would love to buy one and have in my garage for simple web browsing and quick transfering of jams to my wifes ipod nano.
