Sadly this is a rumour and is very much unlikely to happen. Much like 'The Return of Slim Shady' album whic then turned out to be Encore ....

I hope he does this.
I think it would be a good idea for him to do this for his very last album.
and actually it may be more than a rumour becuase didnt eminem say that he was plannin to do this in an interview with one of the dj's.

Rap artist Eminem (Shady/Aftermath) has begun preliminary development on a new double disc album to be released late 2005. The double disc album entitled "The Funeral" will feature tracks from all of Eminem's personas including Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers. The album will also include 4 new songs titled "The Funeral - featuring Bizarre", "The Funeral - featuring Dr. Dre", "The Funeral - featuring Obie Trice" and a brand new Dre produced track "Where I'm Standing (In the Game)". The album will "put to rest" all three of Eminem's personas and supposedly clear the way for a new Eminem. "I feel I've reached the point of my career where I need a new 'fuel' to create tracks," Marshall Mathers is quoted as saying when asked about the new album. "So I'm putting all my old shit of the first half of my career on this album and getting ready for a fresh start on my next half." Why are three tracks named the same thing? "I'm not really on any of the tracks named 'The Funeral'. Those tracks just signify the death of each persona." The album will be divided into 3 sections each divided by one "The Funeral" track. Bizarre will rap about the Slim Shady persona, Dr. Dre will rap about the Marshall Mathers persona, and Obie Trice will rap about the Eminem persona. The last track of the album will be "Where I'm Standing" with a new "reborn" Eminem rapping over the beat. More news and updates on "The Funeral" to come.

All I have to say is that Aftermath/Shady/G-Unit is takin over....Peace

if he does it, on the second CD he`s starting his new persona. Which he is gonna use on hes next albums. This wouldn`t be his last.

Ok didn`t get that at first. It could`ve been a good way ending it with killing the tree personas. But that about starting a new style he should do next album.

I think after encore, which discouraged many people, he should do something well done soon. I'm not saying that encore wasn't good, in fact i pretty like it, but I think that this funeral album could be great in this moment, anyway, sadly i think this rumours are false. I HOPE NOT

Well, killing of the Slim Shady persona is something I think he should have done before the Encore album.. It was brilliant when the SSLP came out, but now it just gets old.... But he can't kill the Marshall one now, can he? Killing himself can't be smart.... And with killing the Eminem one, does that mean that his next album won't be by the artist "Eminem", but by someone completely different..? That doesn't make sense.....

I agree with u jesse. I mean, do you think he has heard what people think about encore and read all these things posted, or just because he has sold so many copies, he thinks he has done a very good album?
